Dear Sagamore Families,

We are proud to announce Sagamore Middle School’s first annual 5,000 Book Challenge!  All Sagamore students and their parents, and Sagamore teachers and staff are invited to participate.   As members of the Sachem Community, we all want to recognize the importance of reading, and reward the students for being great readers.  We hope to read 5,000 books from now until June.

Each time Sagamore students read a book in school or at home, they can fill out a “brick” to be placed in a raffle.  The bricks will be placed in the display case between the main office and the guidance office.   Parents can also fill out bricks, as well as the Sagamore teachers!  It is a fun way to get an extra reward for reading as a community.  Book “bricks” are at the bottom of this page.  Additional “bricks” can be found here.

We hope to encourage everyone involved to talk about books, share books, and celebrate reading.

Sincerely,

Sagamore Middle School
